On June 23, people across America will come together to care for, connect with, and engage their communities. JFS has numerous special volunteer opportunities for TogetherTuesday, including farm gleaning, Refugee & Immigrant Services storage clean up, and buying food for our clients through in-kind donations.
Join us on June 26 for Pride Shabbat, a celebration of Lesbian, Gay, bisexual, Transgender, intersex, Queer Jews, friends, families, and allies of all ages. Hosted by Temple Beth Am. Family programming starts at 4:45 p.m. The main service starts at 6:15 p.m.
No one should go hungry. Most of JFS clients rely on SNAP food assistance, which is often not enough to keep bellies full. Visits to the Polack Food Bank have been skyrocketing as prices rise and federal support dwindles. Buy items from our Amazon wish list to support our neighbors who pick up food from the Polack Food Bank.
