We envision a community in which older adults are valued for the wisdom and experience they possess, and for the contributions they have made and continue to make.

Supporting Older Adults

We are proud to offer programs and services that enable older adults to live in dignity and increase community connections, as well as specialized programming for unpaid family caregivers, Holocaust Survivors and Jewish older adults, and older adults from the Former Soviet Union.

Family Caregiver Support Program

We work with unpaid family and community caregivers to create individualized care plans that can include information and referral, classes, support groups, caregiver counseling, family consultations, limited respite care, and financial assistance.

Care Management

Our geriatric care managers assist low-income, older adults with health and mental health care navigation, benefits assistance, housing advocacy, social supports and basic needs assistance.

Holocaust Survivors

We provide care management and financial assistance to Holocaust survivors (any Jewish individual who lived under Nazi domination or fled from the Nazis, whether or not they spent time in a concentration camp).

Elder Connections

We connect older Jewish adults in King County with kind, reliable volunteers who are happy to visit, help out, or just spend time together.

Russian Language

Our Russian-speaking staff provide information and assistance, in-depth care management services, and a robust socialization and day program for people from the Former Soviet Union.

Information & Assistance

We collaborate with community organizations who provide services for aging adults and/or their families. Our English- or Russian-speaking staff can help you navigate the complex system of long-term care, community resources and medical benefits. For assistance beyond our scope, we provide referrals and follow-up.

Join us on June 8

Holocaust Survivor Day

Please join Jewish Family Service and the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle for our fifth annual Holocaust Survivor Day celebration on Monday, June 8, at noon to 2:00 p.m. We will celebrate and honor Holocaust Survivors with a festive lunch, including live entertainment. The program will be offered in both English and Russian. The event will take place in person and on Zoom (location and link will be provided with RSVP). Please RSVP by May 27 to oas@jfsseatle.org or 206-861-3141. This program is made possible with generous funding from Seed the Dream Foundation and KAVOD SHEF.
