Financial Assistance

We offer short-term, limited financial assistance to cover unexpected financial shock, such as job losses, interruptions in income, or unexpected expenses that threaten a household’s stability. Our focus is on rent assistance to support housing stability.

Do You Qualify for Financial Assistance?

We can’t help everyone who asks but contact us if you have low income and have experienced a financial crisis. We prioritize Jewish households. To be eligible for rent assistance, including move-in assistance, households must have previously been able to pay rent without assistance and have a plan in place to be able to pay rent going forward.

Be prepared to submit paperwork that supports your request (lease, ledger, and W-9 from your landlord).

How Can we Help?

We aim to fill the gap and help people who’ve had a financial crisis build stability. We may be able to help you with rental assistance (including current and past due rent) and move-in costs once you have an identified unit and a lease.

Request Financial Assistance

The application is only available on Mondays. Please fill it out between 9am-5pm on Monday and then wait for a response. We will email you by Thursday.

Because we cannot help everyone who applies, please also explore other options. Visit Washington 211 or dial 2-1-1 on your phone to find additional resources, shelter, and housing options.
