We offer short-term, limited financial assistance to cover unexpected financial shock, such as job losses, interruptions in income, or unexpected expenses that threaten a household’s stability. Please fill out the form below (available Mondays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.).

If you are selected to receive assistance, you must provide a lease, a ledger from your landlord, and a W9 from your landlord.

In order to better serve the Jewish community in the future, Jewish Family Service is gathering information on what other services are in demand. Would you or someone you know be interested in any of these services?
Unfortunately, JFS does not currently offer services to assist you. We encourage you to contact Washington 2-1-1 for additional resources. 


Financial Assistance Request

The application is open every Monday from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Please revisit this page during that time to fill out the online request form.

Please note:

  • All financial assistance requests must be submitted using the online form.
  • We are unable to accept any phone requests for financial assistance.
  • We can only fund requests for short-term needs if your household will be able to pay rent and other bills without assistance going forward.
  • We are unable to provide assistance to everyone who applies.
  • Please visit King County 2-1-1 or dial 2-1-1 on your phone for additional resources and options.
  • The process takes about 10 days.
