Support Group for Intimate Partner Abuse

Intimate partner violence (IPV) is physical, sexual, or psychological abuse by a partner or spouse. Our six-week group is designed to provide survivors with a supportive space to learn more about power dynamics within relationships and how to foster healthy relationships. Each week the facilitator will bring different topics, activities, and other resources to the group to discuss. Topics range from: defining IPV, understanding power dynamics within intimate relationships, examining components of healthy relationships, and building skills for self-care and resiliency.

Mondays, March 6 – April 10, 2023

Each session is 1.5 hours, and the group occurs weekly. Sessions are meant to be a supportive group space and not a substitute for individual advocacy or therapy.

We will contact all interested attendees to see if it’s a good fit prior to the group’s start date. Time and location details will be disclosed at that time. Groups may be in person or virtual, depending on the needs of participants. We require a minimum number of 6 registered attendees in order to launch a group. We will notify interested participants if we do not have enough attendees prior to the start of the group. If you are interested in joining or learning more, please reach out using the button below.
