Recently, world-renowned U.S. gymnast Simone Biles made an important statement: “I have to focus on my mental health.” In this moment, Simone gave everyone—her fans, her teammates, her competitors, and more—the permission to listen to themselves and focus on their mental health. Simone told the world it is okay to admit when you’re not okay. In that spirit, we’re excited to offer a 90-minute virtual workshop designed for inquisitive teens digging for answers on how to help themselves and their friends navigate mental health issues that may arise. Together, we will dive into the inner workings of your brain, how to reach out when you or your friends are needing extra support, and discover wellness tips to stay healthy, strong and positive. From this workshop, you will gain techniques for approaching conversations with kindness and curiosity, finding mental health resources for teens, and finding ways to navigate the impact of social media. This virtual gathering will empower you to feel better, energize you to help others, and motivate you to feel confident on where to go for help.
