(1940 – )
b. Lostice, Czechoslovakia

Wartime Location: Terezin (Teresienstadt) concentration camp, Czechoslovakia

“I survived for many reasons. My mother was a different religion than my father. For that reason, we were last on the list of that program. We were sent late to the concentration camp- that was good for us. And our neighbors were good people; they helped us at their own peril. The sequence of events worked for us. I am not a hero. I was just born at the wrong place in the wrong time.”
