Companions for Adults with Disabilities
Visit adults with developmental disabilities in their homes, help out with holiday baking or crafts projects, and go on outings. You'll expand their world, and yours!
JFS is committed to helping clients with disabilities realize their highest potential while enhancing their quality of life within the context of a warm and supportive Jewish setting. We bring hope and a higher quality of life to people with cognitive disabilities, including developmental disabilities, persistent mental illness and brain injury. To that end, we provide:
- Adult Family Home
Shalom House provides long-term residential care to six individuals with cognitive disabilities.
- Respite Care
We provide in-home respite care to families with children who have autism or developmental disabilities. Download a PDF flyer.
- Supported Living Program
This enables participants to live in their own homes while receiving the ongoing care and support they need and request.
