ABOUT THE LUNCHEON
In May, 2003, JFS began an exciting new "event tradition" in the Northwest with the first-ever JFS Benefit Luncheon. It was a resounding success and has grown bigger and better every year since. In May, 2011, over 1,000 people came together to support JFS and hear guest speaker Eric Liu, noted author, educator and civic entrepreneur ... making it a most significant fundraising event in the Greater Seattle Jewish community, with contributions in excess of $850,000 to support JFS, its programs and clients.
The 2012 Luncheon takes place on May 16. As in the past, sponsors are being sought to underwrite the event so that donations can fully assist clients locally regardless of race, religion or ethnicity. Building on the successes of previous years, the JFS 2012 Community of Caring Luncheon promises to be a memorable celebration of "Believing in One Another since 1892."
A minimum donation of $150 at the Luncheon is requested to help us, as a community that cares, meet the unexpected and extraordinary challenges facing our friends, neighbors and family members here at home.
