ON-LINE SCREENING FOR DEPRESSION

Jewish Family Service offers basic emergency services to those with the most critical needs in the Jewish community, and, where possible, in the broader community. JFS caseworkers assist clients in assessing their situations and creating action plans that meet their immediate critical needs, with long-term stabilization as the goal. To that end, we provide the following:

• Alternatives to Addiction
  This program provides confidential, supportive assistance to those struggling with addiction.
• Domestic Violence Program
  If you are experiencing threats, intimidation, emotional or sexual abuse, economic control, isolation or physical violence and need help, click on this link.
• Emergency Housing Vouchers
  May be used to fund housing for up to one week at a local shelter or low-cost hotel or motel, as specified on the voucher. Screening is required.
• Financial Assistance
  Funds may be available to help pay for various emergencies such as transportation, medical needs, past due utility bills, avoiding eviction or school clothing. Screening is required.
• Food Bank
  The JFS Food Bank operates year-round and includes Seattle and Eastside locations, and a Home Delivery Program.
• Loans for Jewish Clients
  Loans for personal emergencies. Screening is required as is a Jewish co-signer for loans over $500.
