Single Parent Family Events
Special programming for Jewish single parents and their children focuses on building connections between families, fostering a positive Jewish identity for children, and providing a supportive Jewish learning experience for families.
Quarterly events allow families to connect and build a sense of community. A parent advisory group works with the staff to plan events. These might include a baking project, holiday gathering, games day, cook-out or educational workshop.
Our popular bi-annual retreat is held in a beautiful natural setting and is a day filled with fun activities just for kids, activities for parents and children together, and time for the adults to check in with each other about the stresses and joys of single parenting.
The Single Parent Family Program is suitable for all Jewish single parent families. Participants have diverse religious and cultural experiences, economic and professional backgrounds, and live all over the area. Snacks and meals are kosher, and events are free or very low cost, with scholarships always available.
