Ways to Donate
The easiest way to donate stock to Jewish Family Service is to have your broker call our Development Director at (206) 861-3188. We'll take care of all the details, and send you a letter of thanks acknowledging your contribution. Please note that the value of your stock gift is calculated by taking the average price of the stock the day it enters a Jewish Family Service account.
If you maintain an account at any of the brokerage companies listed below, you can make a donation to Jewish Family Service by instructing your broker to transfer stock from your account to the JFS account. Please have your broker notify us regarding your donation so that we can properly record and recognize your gift.
Call our Development Director at (206) 861-3188 to obtain our account number at any of these firms:
- Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc.
- Charles Schwab
- Ragen MacKenzie
If you do not maintain a brokerage account at a company listed above, please call our Director of Finance at (206) 861-3178 to obtain the necessary information to pass along to your broker to complete the transfer of your stock gift.
In order to accurately record receipt of your gift, please have your broker send us the following information:
- Number of shares and name of stock
- QSIP of the stock
- DTC Number of the institution sending the stock
This information must be sent to us prior to making the electronic transfer of stock.
